Let’s connect, reflect, and hear what’s next.
The referendum outcome wasn't what we hoped for, however it's so important that we stay connected, hold space for the feelings that we are experiencing, and acknowledge what we have achieved together.
Join us on Monday night for an evening of reflection and exploring what’s next.
The first half of this online gathering will focus on gently processing emotions and will be facilitated by Lina Patel and Kiri Bear. The second half will focus on insights and wisdom on where to from here from Getup’s CEO Larissa Baldwin and the First Nations Justice team.
When: 6.30pm - 8.15pm (AEDT), Monday 23 October
Where: Online - RSVP for your link to attend
Everyone of you in the #WriteYes movement has played a critical role in helping to deepen conversations and understanding about First Nations justice in the lead up to the referendum. Thank you for everything you have given!
From having conversations with your friends, colleagues, workplaces and wider communities, to handing out leaflets, putting up yard signs, making calls, sending texts, posting on social media, volunteering at pre-poll and polling days and so much more.
As we’ve said all along, this referendum is one step in a broader arc for First Nations justice. So, on October 23, we will come together to talk about how we're feeling, and how all of us can continue to build more momentum for the work ahead. Because one thing’s for sure – it’s going to take a people-powered movement standing alongside First Nations people to continue the fight for justice.
